Everyday, we have daily tasks that can slow us down and keep us from really running our business. These tasks must be done, but they can become very tedious.

What is your most difficult, useless, or time-consuming daily task?

Not difficult, but time-consuming, yes. Checking and returning email.

Other things like accounting and bookkeeping get in the way as well.

Yes... checking emails becomes very tedious, especially if you don't check them for a day or so. I get about 50 emails per day that are worth checking, plus all of the junk!

LOL, I agree! The emails are very time consuming as well the horrible monster of administrative office stuff. When you are an artist, not an office artist it can be a huge monster! But when you are small you can't afford someone, so what do you do? I am working on setting certain time for emailing, then a time for bookkeeping/administrative stuff, then the rest of the day I do what I call my job........what I like, what brings the $$$'s in! I have found by setting blocks up with each of these items in them the day goes much faster and I seem to be more organized.

I think one of the hardest daily tasks I face is not being able to give each and every client or candidate my personal attention daily. I strive to maintain "personable" relationships with each of them, but the busier I get, the harder that gets. Unfortunately, there just aren't enough hours in the day!

As for the emails...I agree with all of you...I hate Mondays. I usually have well over 200 emails, and it really is time-consuming.
