We all know someone who's been hit hard by the downturn in the economy. Maybe it's you and your business? In times like these, we as small business owners should really pull together....after all, we are the majority of what keeps our communities, towns, and cities alive.
With that being said, tell me a few things that you do to keep you going.....
For example:
How are you keeping your faith?
How or have you been affected by the current state of our country's economic turmoil?
What are some of the things you have done to still thrive?
Have you changed your marketing techniques? If so, how?
What if any, have you noticed to be your biggest loss/cutback?
Finally, if there is anything you need help with, let us know! The more you are out there, the more help is available! I stand behind the powers that be when it comes to a variety of "brains!!"
I have to take a blind faith sometimes. I talk with my wife about issues, losses, etc. and we discuss the right plan of action and trust that everything will out. I could stop and stress about slower business or some type of loss, but it can't be changed, so I have to look to the future and stay positive!
I truly agree with "blind faith." I also believe in communication. When dealing with the stresses of running a business, it is very important to be able to have a "second brain" within a spouse or significant other, no matter how involved or not they are. Encouragement and reassurance are very important in keeping with the drive.
In my industry, things have slowed down significantly. I have done a few things differently to make up for lack of "extras," but not much has changed in our daily routines. I have taken more time to re-connect with clients, further build my relationships, and followed up with candidates. When you have that extra time, reach out. In the end it will be you they will come back to!
