This group is another example of the many social networks. Although the eventual goal is more of a physical group than online, it is still part of the ever-increasing world of social networking.
I have found online social networking to be beneficial and some of them are just wasting my time. I now use facebook (thanks Amber for the suggestion) to connect with people in ways that I can't on linkedin and don't want to myspace. I can post links to blog posts and other articles that I write and distribute, and I can play around a little bit, if necessary!
Linkedin was another one that I dabbled with, but I didn't utilize until I met with Louis Gonzales and discussed his networking tactics. Linkedin has been valuable, and I can tell it will be even more valuable in the future.
One social network tool I can't grasp is Twitter. I have come across quite a few articles about it and how beneficial it can be to professionals, but I just don't see it.
Has anyone has success with Twitter? Also, please share your social networking tactics. What was worked? What has been a failure?
